The Northeast Iowa Council is pleased to honor Dave Scofield as a Spotlight Volunteer! Dave is the current Scoutmaster for Troop 5 (Peosta), Assistant Course Director for NYLT, and is part of Wood Badge staff. He has been involved in Scouting for 13 years.
Dave and his wife, Linda, have one son, Colin, who became an Eagle Scout in 2017. Outside of Scouting Dave works as the Director of Pharmacy for Hartig Drug.
What motivates you to give your time to Scouting?
I enjoy teaching and watching the boys grow in Scouting.
What aspects of Scouting do you enjoy the most?
The outdoors and spending time at Camp Klaus.

Attending the National Jamboree and seeing my son earn the Eagle Scout rank.
What advice can you give to new Scouting parents?
Become a sponge, the more you learn, the more fun it is and you gain many new friends from the questions you ask.
