David Meyer has served as a Scoutmaster for the troop in his town for 7 years. He has used red flannel camps, merit badge colleges, summer camp, and semi-annual Boundary Waters trips to keep his small troop extremely active and engaged. His commitment hasn’t been limited to just his troop, either, as he helped organize the 2014 Fall Camporee.
David’s passion for each Scout lies in what he feels is one of the truest methods of Scouting, which is to allow the boys to learn through the experiences gained by outdoor activities. He is not only an excellent role model to the youth, but also an outstanding representative of Scouting in our community.
In addition to his Scouting activities, David serves on the board of a citizens group designed to improve youth facilities in town. He offers his advice in an engineering capacity.
