Jon Uzel

The Northeast Iowa Council is pleased to honor Jon Uzel as the Spotlight Volunteer of the month! Jon has been active in Scouts for many years in the Dubuque District and is an Eagle Scout, which he achieved in Troop 326 Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Jon has held many roles over the years with Pack 50 at Irving Elementary as well as on the District level. These roles include; Tiger Den Leader, Cubmaster, Roundtable Commissioner, Cub Scout Roundtable Director, and District Unit Commissioner. Jon currently serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 7 and is leading our Lion Cub Program for the Council!

Jon is also very active in our Council-wide training courses. He is currently trained as a Cubmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster. He has also been trained in Youth Protection, BALOO, IOLS, and Wood Badge!

In his professional career, Jon currently works at IBM Corporation in Dubuque. He has two children. Jon is very deserving of this spotlight with his countless hours dedicated to Scouting in the Northeast Iowa Council. If you’ve been to a Dubuque Roundtable or District activity, you’ve more than likely seen Jon there!
