Eagle Project Location: Audubon Elementary School in Dubuque, Iowa

Eagle Project Description: Boris constructed a gaga ball pit at Audubon Elementary School in Dubuque, Iowa. Panels were assembled using wood planks, metal hinges and pins. This replaces the unsafe structure that was in use at the school.

What does being an Eagle Scout mean to you? Being an Eagle Scout means that I have accomplished something I’ve worked my whole life to achieve.

If you had to describe your entire Scouting experience with just one word, what word would you choose? Why? Impactful. Scouting has changed my life in so many ways and has formed me into the person that I am today.

How did earning the rank prepare you for the future? Earning the Eagle Scout rank prepared me for the future because I now know that I can be anything I put my mind to. And it helped me develop a strong work ethic that I will take with me.

By doing your Eagle Service Project, what did you learn about managing or leading people? I learned that its not easy at all and that you have to be open to other ideas and opinions to make your project the best it can be.

What advice would you give to younger Scouts who aspire to become Eagle Scouts? My advice is to take the cooking merit badge as soon as you can.

Please share a favorite Scouting memory. My favorite memory is doing the Russian Biker skit at camp and making everyone laugh with unique twist on a timeless classic.
