What does being an Eagle Scout mean to you? Being an Eagle Scout means being a leader and following and experiencing the long rocky trail of Scouting. Being an Eagle Scout means others look up to you and admire you for your words and actions.

If you had to describe your entire Scouting experience with just one word, what word would you choose? Why? Adventure. There were so many opportunities and experience that I’ve been through and so many things that I have learned. It’s been an adventure that will always be remembered.

How did earning the rank prepare you for the future? It wasn’t the moment of earning the Eagle rank but it was the big journey and the indefinite amount of things and skills I learned on the way to Eagle. My leadership and other skills will be something I can use for the rest of my life.

By doing your Eagle Service Project, what did you learn about managing or leading people? I learned that leading takes communication and the work of many people. You must treat everyone equally despite your relationship with them.

What advice would you give to younger Scouts who aspire to become Eagle Scouts? My advice is to keep striving towards your goals. Enjoy the moment and use Scouting as an opportunity to reach out and explore things in life. There will be many things that you will learn and many things you will be able to use for the rest of your life. Most importantly, have fun!

Please share a favorite Scouting memory. My favorite memory is completing the wilderness survival merit badge at a summer camp. One requirement was to build our own shelter and spend the night in the shelter that we made. That night there were animals everywhere and the constant sound of creatures roaming around us in the woods. The biggest dude in our group was the most terrified and it was funny watching him get scared. It was an exciting night that I will never forget.
