Darcy Cline Volunteer Spotlight

The Northeast Iowa Council is pleased to honor Darcy Cline as a Spotlight Volunteer! Darcy currently serves as the Popcorn Kernel and Unit Advancement Chair for Troop 40. She has been involved in Scouting for ten years.

Darcy and her husband, Shane, are proud of their daughter (Jessica), son-in-law (Austin), and son (Beau). They are also responsible for a miniature Schnauzer named Stella. Outside of Scouting Darcy works in compliance for a bank. In her free time, Darcy enjoys karate, golf, pickleball, bowling and doing crafts. Over the years she has volunteered for a variety of other Guttenberg organizations include as a Girl Scout leader for 13 years.

What motivates you to give your time to Scouting?
It’s a great program that has so many options and activities for youths of all ages.

What aspects of Scouting do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy the Scouts earning merit badges.

What have you learned through Scouting?
It’s a great organization for families to be a part of.

What advice can you give to new Scouting parents?
Support your Scout by getting involved with your Scouts den/troop activities.

Please share a favorite Scouting memory.
Spending family night at Camp Klaus and kayaking with Troop 40.
