Eagle Scout Abraham Steinbeck

Name: Abraham Steinbeck
 Troop: 86
Eagle Project Location: Dubuque Rescue Mission in Dubuque, Iowa

Eagle Project Description: Abraham built three Murphy beds. He made his own hinges to fit the specific needs of the design, with extra support beams across the beds width. The beds fold up against the wall to conserve space and when in use, will unfold forming a twin bed. The beds are now located in the basement at the Rescue Mission of Dubuque.

What does being an Eagle Scout mean to you? Being an Eagle Scout means accomplishment and dedication to me. It stands for leadership and being loyal to this wonderful country.

How did earning the rank prepare you for the future? The rigors helped me learn patience, dedication, and leadership. I am now able to fulfill my dreams by completing high school and going to college.

What advice would you give to younger Scouts who aspire to become Eagle Scouts? Never give up no matter how bad or hard the situation might be.

Please share a favorite Scouting memory. My favorite Scouting memory would be going on my first camping trip with my troop and everyone working together with a common goal.
