Eagle Scout Aiden Saul

Troop: 7
Eagle Project Location: Mt. Pleasant Home in Dubuque, Iowa

Eagle Project Description: Aiden designed and constructed a firewood storage unit and fire pit for Mt. Pleasant Home in Dubuque. The storage allows for donated wood to be kept dry and ready for use by those served at the home. The larger fire pit, a larger, more safe structure, allows more individuals to gather and keep warm on cool nights.

What does being an Eagle Scout mean to you?
It means being a leader and taking a bigger role in life. I want to be a role model for the younger Scouts and have a bigger role in the community.

If you had to describe your entire Scouting experience with just one word, what word would you choose? Why?
Amazing. I learned so many life lessons and skills, and experienced so much.

How did earning the rank prepare you for the future?
Earning this award has really made me mature, and learn what responsibility really is. It has also opened up so many opportunities and I’m truly grateful.

By doing your Eagle Service Project, what did you learn about managing or leading people?
I learned that working as a team you can get any task finished, and as a leader I learned how to manage a team and complete our objective.
