Eagle Project Location: John Deere Proving Grounds in Dubuque, Iowa

Eagle Project Description: Ben built a changing room at the John Deere Proving Grounds Bike Park. After compacting the lime, he led the group in setting a concrete pad, then building the structure for a clean and private changing area for park visitors.

What does being an Eagle Scout mean to you? Being an Eagle Scout means perseverance, dedication, discipline, and opportunities.

If you had to describe your entire Scouting experience with just one word, what word would you choose? Why? Adventure. An adventure could be a challenge as well as providing lots of experience.

How did earning the rank prepare you for the future? Earning the Eagle Scout rank prepared me for the future by helping me manage big situations, lead, and talk to groups of people.

By doing your Eagle Service Project, what did you learn about managing or leading people? I learned patience, because everyone has different learning skills. I also learned to be organized and plan ahead.

What advice would you give to younger Scouts who aspire to become Eagle Scouts? My advice is to never give up! The people you meet on the road and experiences you have are amazing! It is very rewarding.

Please share a favorite Scouting memory. My favorite memory is organizing Klondike days with my troop! I really enjoyed seeing people have fun, and meet new friends.
