What does being an Eagle Scout mean to you?
It means that I have accomplished something that not many others can say they’ve accomplished.
If you had to describe your entire Scouting experience with just one word, what word would you choose? Why?
Dirty. Because I got a reputation in my troop for being the dirtiest kid, and my Scoutmaster has some really funny photos of me being dirty.
How did earning the rank prepare you for the future?
It taught me valuable life skills for later in life, and it taught me not to procrastinate.
By doing your Eagle Service Project, what did you learn about managing or leading people?
That some times people are being dumb, and sometimes you have to use a loud voice to wrangle them back in.
What advice would you give to younger Scouts who aspire to become Eagle Scouts?
Keep grinding out the requirements, and don’t wait and procrastinate the Eagle paperwork.
Please share a favorite Scouting memory.
Camp staff. I was at Basecamp and while we were leaving the Ice Cave trail a cow came running through and one of my coworkers chased it and we had to radio it back to admin staff. And then like 2 weeks later we saw it again across the lake.
