What does being an Eagle Scout mean to you?
Being an Eagle Scout to me means dedicating yourself to the values of Scouting and service to others.
If you had to describe your entire Scouting experience with just one word, what word would you choose? Why?
I would choose the word fulfilling because throughout my Scouting career I constantly was having a wonderful time. Scouting opened many doors to new experiences and built me as a person to be what I am today.
How did earning the rank prepare you for the future?
Earning the Eagle rank prepared me to be prepared for the future. Earning the rank helped me to build planning and time management skills and allowed me to develop a great appreciation for service to others.
By doing your Eagle Service Project, what did you learn about managing or leading people?
By doing my Eagle Scout project I learned that while one may be a leader, leading still requires the participation of others for guidance and/or recommendations to ensure all goes according to plan and serves others the best a project can.
What advice would you give to younger Scouts who aspire to become Eagle Scouts?
Advice I would give to younger Scouts is to never doubt themselves. Even when rank advancement or challenges arise, keep persevering. If you can exercise discipline you will achieve your goals.
Please share a favorite Scouting memory.
My favorite Scouting memory was attending the Boundary Waters canoe area with my Scout Troop. I had never before seen such beauty and while at the beginning of the trip I was a very slow canoer, my dad and I had finally figured out the pattern to paddling by the end.
