Eagle Project Location: Swiss Valley Nature Preserve in Peosta, Iowa
Eagle Project Description: Mason cleared invasive and competing plant species along a section of the Woodland Ecology Trail at the Swiss Valley Nature Preserve. The clearing project helps to create a less dense tree canopy, lessening root competition, providing more sunlight and nutrients to ground flora. A sign was also designed to explain the invasive plant species and their effects on the areas they habitat.
