What does being an Eagle Scout mean to you? Being an Eagle Scout means people looking up to you and expecting more of you because you have proven you are capable of more.
If you had to describe your entire Scouting experience with just one word, what word would you choose? Why? Experience. Throughout your whole Scouting career you are learning. And once a Scout is an adult, they use that experience their whole life.
How did earning the rank prepare you for the future? Earning the Eagle Scout rank prepared me for the future because it made me learn many skills I will use throughout my whole life such as leadership skills.
By doing your Eagle Service Project, what did you learn about managing or leading people? I learned you do not always have the needed skills to complete a project, but others do, so let them help with their skills.
What advice would you give to younger Scouts who aspire to become Eagle Scouts? My advice is to work to get the lower ranks as soon as you can because your Eagle rank will take longer than expected. When working on your project, something will go wrong, be patient with your volunteers, you will figure it out.
Please share a favorite Scouting memory. My favorite memory was attending the 24th World Scout Jamboree at Summit Bechtel Reserve. I enjoyed making new friends in my troop and meeting Scouts from all over the world and trading patches, neckerchiefs, and a uniform. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity because I was not able to go to Philmont both times I tried due to wildfires and Covid.
