Dubuque District Award of Merit 2015
Matt Tompkin’s Scouting involvement begins in 2009 when his son became a Cub Scout. In his son’s Pack, he has held the positions of Den Leader, Committee Chair, and Chartered Organizational Representative.
Matt is aware that to provide a quality program, training is important. He is fully-trained in all of his unit and district roles.
On the district level, Matt has, for several years, taken an active role in the District Friends of Scouting campaign. He has made multiple presentations to Packs and Troops, and coordinates FOS volunteers for various unit presentations.
Scout leaders have noticed and acknowledged past contributions of Matt. In 2013, he was recognized with the Cub Scouter of the Year award for Dubuque District.
