Rob Reinert

The Northeast Iowa Council would like to recognize our current District Chairman for Dubuque, Rob Reinert as the Spotlight Volunteer of the month! Rob has been in this position for three years now and has shown great dedication to the role. He has been an especially great resource & district partner for our District Executive, Peter Supple.

Raised in Dubuque, Rob started his Scouting experience with Resurrection, Troop 91. He achieved his Eagle Scout in 1980 and is an Order of the Arrow member. Rob also currently serves as an assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 91. Rob and his father Francis have taken on the role of cleaning and organizing all OA Mother’s Day breakfast grills and supplies. All of this work is very time-consuming and much appreciated!

Community involvement is important to Rob. He is a past board member, past president of Dubuque’s Noon Optimist Club, and is past president of NAIFA –Dubuque, the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors. Rob is currently on the NICC Advisory Board as well. Rob is also a Chapter Chair through SCORE and works with business opportunities. Rob says, “There is no greater need than now to have the youth in our communities involved in programs & events that further develop their people and leadership skills in a positive and supporting manner.”

Rob’s biggest influence in Scouting goes back to the days of his youth. “I remember my Cub Scout leader, Mrs. Drish. We always seemed to be doing some different activity, craft, or field trip during our meetings. Along with having fun, there was a plan for advancements and getting that next bead or patch.”

On behalf of the Northeast Iowa Council, please help us say thank you to a very dedicated Scouter, Rob Reinert!
