Eagle Project Location: Froelich Foundation in Froelich, Iowa

Eagle Project Description: Collin completed several projects at the Froelich Foundation in Froelich, IA. Collin organized crews to scrape and paint the rental and storage buildings, as well as scrape and paint the six picnic tables within the rental structure. Before completing the painting of the structures, the area was mowed and trimmed to ensure the buildings could be painted. The painting and sealing of the buildings and tables ensures their extended life.

What does the accomplishment of earning the Eagle Scout Rank mean to you?

Being a leader, being a role model in my community. It is a big accomplioshment for me and my family.

If you had to describe your entire Scouting experience with just one word, what word would you choose? Why?

Grateful, I am grateful to be apart of scouts and I am grateful that I made a lot of friends along the way.  

In today’s world, where leadership in crucial, how do you believe the values and skills you’ve gained as an Eagle Scout can make a difference?

I know how to be a leader in my community and at my job.

By doing your Eagle Service Project, what did you learn about managing or leading people?

It is a lot of work and little things you really can’t plan for when you manage and lead a project. 

What advice would you give to younger Scout who aspire to become Eagle Scouts?

Don’t wait till the last minute to start.

All the camps at Kamp Klaus and the time that the raccoon stole me and my brothers duffle bag out of the tent at camp, we found our clothes but never our toiletry bag.
