Eagle Project Location: Easton Valley High School in Preston, Iowa

Eagle Project: John refurbished the instrument cabinets in the Easton Valley High School band room. Doors and hardware were removed, all pieces of the cabinets were fixed if needed and then sanded, primed, and painted. Hardware was replaced and doors hung.

What does the accomplishment of earning the Eagle Scout Rank mean to you?

It is an honor. It means that my hard work had paid off.

If you had to describe your entire Scouting experience with just one word, what word would you choose? Why?

Adventure, because there is always a new adventure that you will experience.

In today’s world, where leadership in crucial, how do you believe the values and skills you’ve gained as an Eagle Scout can make a difference?

Scouting can teach you many different leadership skills that you can use forever.

By doing your Eagle Service Project, what did you learn about managing or leading people?

That if everyone work together you can get a lot more done.

What advice would you give to younger Scout who aspire to become Eagle Scouts?

To stick with it. It is well worth all of the work.
